When you eat more high volume low calorie foods you naturally tend to maintain a calorie deficit with ease.

The best foods to hit that great combination of satiety + nutrition + adherence possibility? VEGETABLES….

10 Tips to let go of Weight loss Diet culture habits

  1. Accept it feels like you’re losing control when you let go of what appears to be ‘to have control’

  2. Accept healthy eating for life will be like practicing a diet project until you feel confident that you can trust yourself!

  3. Remember you need ‘a diet’ until you die to fuel your body and mind, it’s time to want to love the one you choose!

  4. Start small, start changing your daily eating without that ‘start over’ mentality. You don’t restart life, you keep living, the same goes for fitness and nutrition

  5. Eating well is like a muscle, it gets stronger the more you practice it and the longer you keep it up the stronger you feel and look

  6. Eliminate your food elimination list from your life! It’s time to ask yourself what you truly love to eat and build trust around having some of it now and then without guilt or fat regain.

  7. Stop relying on the body scale to see how well you’re eating. The scale reflects your lifestyle over time, so if you simply focus on the ‘doing’ you need no scale to be your diet police.

  8. When you give up on tracking your waist and skip stepping on the scale it’s important to take note of your choices in nutrition, your workouts and how you feel. You need to monitor your daily attention to practice and keep going. It’s very easy to forget and fall into old habits.

  9. Accept that as a human you have free will and that means you might want to cheat on your own commitment. To end self sabotage and self defeat you have to give yourself a chance to ‘have a talk’ with yourself when you get tempted.

  10. Be aware of your negative affirmations that impact your motivation in healthy eating! Instead of ‘I can’t have any ice cream because I end up eating 3 gallons in a day’, tell yourself ‘I love ice cream and that’s ok, I can have a little bit today, tomorrow too, the next day and all days of my life if I want. But today, I’ll skip it!’.
The point is to reduce the risk of feeling like you must seize the opportunity to enjoy what you crave right now since it’ll never come around again.

Enjoy the Nature of your Fitness Life

Zoom Recap from Yesterday's Fighterdiet coaching sessionBalancing Bliss and Immediate GratificationNordin discussed the concept of maintaining motivation and achieving a balanced state of continuous bliss, contrasting it with the temporary ecstasy of immediate gratification. She emphasized the importance of self-inquiry and wisdom in achieving long-term goals, particularly in maintaining a healthy body composition. Nordin also touched on the natural human tendency to prioritize short-term satisfaction over long-term well-being, which she suggested is a result of evolutionary mechanisms designed to ensure survival and reproduction. She emphasized the need to shift from a diet-focused mindset to a sustainable lifestyle that allows for satisfaction and long-term success. Nordin shared her personal mission to create a system that balances hunger and appetite while maintaining a healthy and desired physique, emphasizing the importance of finding joy in the process of self-improvement.Nordin discussed the importance of maintaining motivation and discipline in fitness and lifestyle habits, emphasizing that achieving goals should not be the sole focus. The FighterDiet REFEED basics you need to know before you do it “your own way”

To get lean, set your calorie budget for refeed around 2000-2500 calories for the day.

No need to keep track of protein in range for the refeed day.

To stay full and avoid cravings, start your refeed with a filling Fighterdiet meal, then your greed feed as ‘in the end’ of the day.

What if you choose recipes you crave but won’t be able to eat enough of to feel satisfied?

Before you indulge with specials, like a chocolate bar, satisfy your physical hunger with a POBO style meal.

This meal is part of the total calorie budget for the refeed day.

REFEED TIP:

It’s easier and less stressful to keep the same refeed meal plan as you have on defeed, but volumize up your favorite meals.

Instead of ‘one serving of it’ you can have three servings of it.

You can convert a defeed meal plan to refeed by adding a few things to the defeed meal plan, for example 2 bananas and a handful of nuts.

That right there is enough to change defeed 2 refeed.

REFEED TIP:

Keep a list of your cravings and things that come to mind you want, then use your upcoming refeed day for those special moments of healthy food bliss.

REFEED TIP:

It’s easy to want to believe refeed is the same as a cheat day, but a cheat day is something you don’t want to remember, you feel guilty, you sabotage yourself, you cling to the diet culture conditioning of ‘start over monday’ and ‘cheat day weekend is ok, it’s just one day’.

Unfortunately, it sure is okay to eat whatever you want, but you won’t get the body you want doing that, so yeah, every day matters!

The leaner you get from your baseline, the more powerful the refeed effect has on your fat loss progress, the greater your motivation and the stronger you find yourself every day!
